Prologue
In September 1914, as Europe plunged into war, five cousins from Birmingham, England, found their lives changed forever. Der, Vinson, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Loris, along with their dog Sodius, witnessed a fiery object crash into the nearby woods. Drawn by curiosity, they discovered a pulsing, otherworldly stone. Touching it gave them extraordinary powers: they could fly, disappear, and heal. Sodius gained incredible strength. Unaware of the true scope of their gifts, they were now an unstoppable force in a world on the brink of chaos.
