The gates of Nevermore creaked like old bones as the roar of my engine swallowed the silence. Black paint. Black rims. Black windows. My Hellcat wasn't just a car-it was a warning.
I killed the headlights but left the bass thundering-Napoleon by $uicideboy$, deep and filthy, shaking the air like a heartbeat gone wrong.
That's when I saw them.
The Addams clan. All black and white, standing like funeral portraits brought to life. And then there was her.
Tall. Broad. Built like she could break me in half and then laugh while doing it. She grinned at my tinted windows, steel teeth flashing like a predator.
I revved the engine. She didn't flinch. She grinned wider.
