After slaying Kronika and seizing the Hourglass, Khorzi Mortend-Dark God of Annihilation-stood as the new master of time. Instead, he entrusted the Hourglass to Liu Kang, the God of Fire, believing that creation was a burden best borne by one of hope, not wrath.
Liu Kang forged a new timeline-balanced, renewed, and unmarred by Kronika's tyranny. He placed the stewardship of the Hourglass in Geras's immortal hands and took his place as Earthrealm's divine protector.
Khorzi, meanwhile, vanished into the shadows between realms. He spent centuries purging corrupted souls from Earthrealm and Outworld alike-obliterating dark gods, fallen titans, and rogue timekeepers from splintered timelines who sought dominion over fate.
