When the Lord of Dreams is captured, Morpheus fears for his realm, for without him the Dreaming will wither. But he is not as alone as he believes. Waiting for him is Hemera, the Primordial Goddess of the Day, his queen, his opposite and his eternal bond.
Hemera, first-born of Night and Darkness, is the light that follows shadow, the bringer of dawn and day to mortals and the ruler of the Day Realm. Though tied to Dream in a marriage, theirs is no love story, at least not yet. Duty binds them, balance defines them.
⚠️ Note for readers: In Greek mythology, many primordial beings share the same origin, but they are not "siblings" in the human sense. Hemera is not an endless. Morpheus and her both descend from primordial entities, but they are not family their connection is cosmic, not incestuous.

How the Joy wanes
Dream and Joy a match made in heaven, at least by the gods. Euphrosyne is the wife of Dream the Endless and is the Goddess of Mirth, Good Cheer, and Joy. Her joy is everlasting especially since she is with the Dream King, Prince of Stories. Dream of the Endless is still smarting after his fight with Hob even though years have passed and in a moment of hurt, he banishes his wife. Then he is imprisoned, and she is banished from the Dreaming. He rejects her banishment when he sees her again after being freed. However, her joy has waned due to her banishment, Dream and Joy will need become the match they always were again.Complete

"I've told you, Hades, I can not become your mistress." she sadly told him. She had always lived in her mother's shadow, and if she followed Hades, she would once again be living in another's shadow. Even though she loved him, she did not think she could stomach it. "I do not want you to be my mistress, Persephone, I want you to be my queen," he confessed to her. She snapped her head up to meet his eyes, searching for any sign he wanted to take his words back, but there was no remorse. And just like that, she fell ever so slightly more in love with him. "Your queen?" she asked, she had to be sure. Strangely the word had slid off her tongue gracefully as if it had belonged there. "Yes, become my queen," he told her once again, taking back the step she had taken. "Rule besides me as the goddess of spring and the Underworld."
