What would happen if emotions became socially unacceptable? If love made people nervous? If laughter drew too much attention? If sadness was hidden to survive? Selene spent her entire life growing up in this society, learning to look unaffected whilst everything explodes inside. Every reaction is observed, measured, and quietly judged before it becomes a problem. In this society, people are rewarded for being obedient, predictable and quiet. She is none of those things. When she begins speaking to someone she was never supposed to find, the conversations feel harmless at first. Then necessary. Then dangerous. The person she finds speaks to the parts of her that the world has taught her to silence, and once she experiences that kind of connection, she cannot stop wanting more of it. But once she tastes the possibility of genuine connection, there's no going back.

In a future where the elite trade lives like currency and loyalty is enforced through collars and control, survival isn't a right-it's a contract. Miku and Clara were just sixteen when they escaped a death maze with nothing but blood in their mouths and hope in their lungs. They thought that meant forever. It wasn't. Clara vanished. Word said she was dead. Traded. Sold. Miku learned to stop trusting word. Three years later, Miku is no longer the girl Clara kissed in the ruins. She's a weapon now. Hardened. Trained. Built for vengeance. The mission is simple: locate the missing. Extract, if alive. Eliminate, if not. Until she finds Clara again-alive, changed, and wearing the collar of the enemy. Torn between orders and memory, between the girl she once knew and the one the world turned Clara into, Miku has to make a choice: finish the mission... or finish what they started. No heroes. No safe endings. Just two broken girls caught in a system that doesn't care if they live or burn.
