The Fire Drake of Eridu

Following his death at Laketown, Smaug naturally assumed it would be the definite end of him, however a goddess of unknown origin had other plans for the old dragon and offered to send him to a world that was much, much more technologically advanced than Middle Earth in exchange for a second chance at life and becoming a better individual, whilst also taking care of dangerous entities known to the inhabitants of this world as Ethereals. Reluctantly accepting the offer at being alive again upon hearing the conditions of the proposal, Smaug would soon learn that his "appearance" many years later was going to draw some unwanted attention from people who wanted to use him for their own nefarious plans, but of course... The old dragon had no plans on becoming anyone's puppet if it meant giving up his second chance at life...
