After the Battle of Hogwarts that led to heavy casualties for both the light and the dark side, the Wizarding World became a dull and dreary place.

Since Voldemort and the Death Eaters apparated away when they realized that they were losing, they deviced a plan that will lead them to victory.

The broken but determined remaining members of the Order decided that one of them should play the role that the deceased Severus Snape had taken and act as a spy to infiltrate the Death Eaters and get to Voldemort.
