Kaiya Yoshida is still trying to get accustomed to life outside of Jamanakai village, she is now without Zane, the ninjas disbanded and is battling her far from platonic feelings she now harbors for Lloyd.

However when a side quest with Lloyd to re-unite the ninjas turns into the mind-dropping twist that their beloved Titanium ninja is supposedly alive and might be in an isolated location in a tournament of elements that the ninjas know nothing about.

Kaiya is instructed by Lloyd to remain in Ninjago and repeat to no-one of the dangers the Ninjas are pushing themselves into.

Fortunately, she's never been good at listening to authority or keeping herself out of other people's business.

Now Kaiya has to overcome a theatre kid-esque dictator, her new phobia of serpents, betrayals, complex situations that lay on the line of platonic and romantic, realising she is definitely out of her element (or lack off one) and unknowingly having her best friend reciprocate her hidden feelings for him.

What could go wrong? Other than the realm being seconds away from being ruled by a director-wanna-be, his stare-problem history says they were roommates sidekick and a bunch of half naked cult men.
