But when the king summons them to investigate a strange cave, their lives take a dangerous turn.

What begins as a simple mission becomes a fight for survival. Ambushed by enemies in the night, Aella, Elwin, Aero, Xian, Zhannel, Arkyn, Christine, Colin, and Ruth are outnumbered-until an elf guard arrives to turn the tide. Yet the attack is only the beginning. Dark whispers move through the realms, hinting at forces that could shatter the fragile balance between races.
