Jihi Kimari wasn't always a wallflower. She'd always been shy, quiet, but never so meek that she'd flinch when someone met her eyes. Not until now. Not until after her grandfather, one of the only two people ever truly happy she existed, died, leaving a rift in her heart so deep she could barely breathe, let alone fight to move forward.

With her family's rejection closing in, she's never felt more alone. Transferred to Odachi High, Jihi isn't sure she even wants to make friends again after how disastrously that ended at her last school. All she wants is to keep her head down, survive, and one day escape her family's grasp.

But fate, and one eventful train ride, have other plans. Because a certain "Little Demon" has decided that Jihi Kimari's story isn't over yet.
