I watched as he rubbed the back of his neck and turned around, walking away but stopping after a few steps and he turned around to face me, with a smirk on his lips, "With a face like yours, I wish I was blind." There weren't many places for her to hide in here but the creature did tell him Amelia came into this room. "Please come out and talk to me." He waited a beat for a response but he didn't get one. "Fine, let me tell you a story. I used to be able to see the creatures clearly but an accident happened when I was younger that damaged one of my eyes. Now they're just blurry to me. But you . . . you can see them clearly and see rare objects. I want you to join me. Be my eyes." He waited again for a few moments for a response he still didn't receive. A thought occurred to him. What if she was hoping that he'd just leave the room? He chuckled quietly to himself in amusement. "I'm not going anywhere. But you know what? It's fine if you decline my offer again. Just know that if you don't come with me, you could come home to find that your parents are dead because of a work accident or some other natural cause. You wouldn't want that would you?" He paused just one more time and began speaking again. "If you come with me today, your parents won't have to die. I can keep them safe. If you don't give me an answer, I'll have my creature kill your parents now and I'll still take you. Do you want dead parents or living parents? It's your choice." Amelia came out of the bay window seat compartment. She was trying to hide her fear and anger. She didn't care what happened to her but she didn't want her parents to die because of her. She took a deep breath. "Fine . . . I'll come with you." He smiled smugly, "Smart choice. There's no need to be afraid of me. Your parents are safe now and I won't hurt you." "It's because you need me for my abilities." She said more of a fact than a question. She knew he wouldn't kill her because he needed her. "Correct. Now, let's tell your parents the good news."

It wasn't necessarily the way that he would talk, even though have of the time I had to ask him what he meant. It wasn't even the way that he would try to tease me about my height even though he wasn't all that tall himself. Maybe it was the way that he would chuckle under his breath when he had to explain something to me (more than once I might add) Or maybe it was the way that he would go out of his way to meet up with me in the hallways right before my algebra class just so we could hear how the others day was going (which almost made us late to class on numerous occasions) Or maybe it was even the way that he would compliment me on the rare occasion (He had told me once that I looked beautiful with glasses even though I hated them and preferred my contacts more) It could've even been the fact that when he spotted me in the hallways and would leave his friends just to come and talk to me. Even though I would point out the fact that he left his friends, he would just smile and chuckle which would cause a blush to creep up onto my features. All I knew at the time was that I was falling in love with one of the smartest people I had known. I prayed that by some miracle the feelings would go away, even though I knew they wouldn't. After graduation, it would be a long time before we crash into each other again. If I would've known that I would find him again in the future, I would've prepared myself better. But as I stood there, staring into those blue eyes of his, I knew that I had fallen in love with him all over again. ((Also none of the pictures are mine, all credit goes to the original artists))

She couldn't read him either. His face was a mirror of her own, they both we're reflections on the past. Before the world dulled their shine. It took everything of her to keep the lump out of her throat as she stared at him, everything to keep away the feelings, the memories and emotions. They both taught themselves a long time ago not to live, not to feel and to chase every emotion away by fear and hate. Sad part was it was 5 years later , 5 years of they both being a walking corpse of life, of being alive but not truely living, they both wouldve qualified for a grim reeper or death angel. And now?
