The day after she is falsely accused of killing the dead paladins and sentenced to death by the empress, Sarai is rescued from the imperial capital by the newly crowned kingdom monarch King Dimitri, also 18, during a country wide raid to rescue any kingdom citizens and other innocent people from imperial territories safely.
