Hila, Mira, and Inari were among the first women ever thrown into U.S. frontline combat - the "Black Summer" generation. Then suddenly the war ended, but not for them. Dishonorably discharged, scarred, and broke, they wound up in the same islands the U.S. once bled to reclaim: New Dujeki.

Here, the docks are law, the jobs come by payphone, and merc crews rule the night. Locals call them the WAIFUs: Wandering Armed Individuals For Unconventional Shit.

By day, they limp along with a failing courier front, HMI Shipping. By night, they take mercenary gigs that drag them through every alley and dock of the island chain.
