"I’d do anything for you, Viv. It’s always been me and you. Forever and always. If you remember anything I've ever told you, at least remember that."

Viviana's life consists of three things: working at a crappy record store just to pay the bills, visiting her little sister at her aunt's house, and busking on the street. It's been her life ever since her parents passed away and she had to move across the states into the middle of the city, leaving behind a boy she's known all her life. It was a sucky one, but she just had to let go of the past and move on.

But then, three years later, her past finally caught up to her.

After a bad night at a bar, Viviana's thrown into the arms of a group of strangers that she never realized would become so important to her. It turns out they're looking for a singer for their band and she's just the type they're looking for; rough around the edges, tougher than nails, and with secrets she's never told anybody but the boy she left behind.

Until he comes right back to her.

The catch?

He can't remember a single damn thing.

In a perfect world, he wouldn't have been in that accident. In a perfect world, he'd at least remember her. In a perfect world, he wouldn't have amnesia. But instead, all he has is a talent for guitar and a life made up of memories in the form of photographs and stories. Nothing real, nothing memorable.

Until he sees Viviana again for the first time in three years.

But with upcoming band competitions, bills to pay, an aunt that hates her guts and a boy that doesn't remember her at all, Viviana is finding it difficult to deal with it all. She'll risk it all, however, for just one glimpse of what life would be like if her dreams became true.

In a perfect world it would all be so easy. But the world's not perfect, and things are never easy.
