The story revolves around Elara and Liam, who meet during a summer study abroad program in Italy. Elara, a budding photographer, sees the world in colors and light, while Liam, a quiet writer, captures emotions in words. They fall deeply in love amidst the beautiful backdrop of cobblestone streets and sun-drenched vineyards. Their connection is intense and feels like destiny. However, their idyllic world shatters when Liam receives a life-altering diagnosis shortly after they return home. He's determined to shield Elara from the pain, fearing he'll become a burden. He starts pushing her away, creating distance and conflict, hoping she'll move on and find someone who can offer her a future he can't guarantee.

Two people fall in love without ever being "allowed" to touch-until the truth unravels in a devastating twist. In a world still recovering from a post-pandemic syndrome called Immune Touch Disorder, some rare individuals carry an asymptomatic strain-meaning they look healthy but can cause severe illness through skin-to-skin contact. Elara, one of the few diagnosed carriers, has lived in emotional and physical isolation for most of her life. Ruin, a trauma medic with secrets of his own, is drawn to Elara when they're both recruited into a remote medical rehabilitation center. As their bond deepens, so does the danger-because falling for someone you're not allowed to touch? That's how you get hurt. Or worse... disappear. But the real plot twist? Elara might not be the only one who's been kept in the dark.
