In the golden halls of Rajgarh, two princesses walk the same corridors, yet tread very different paths.

Princess Devyani Rathore, the eldest, is everything a royal should be - graceful, disciplined, and devoted to duty. She has mastered the art of silence, of restraint, of carrying the weight of a kingdom upon her shoulders.

But when the words of Arman Sen, the court poet, begin to mirror the unspoken longings of her own heart, she finds herself caught between the poetry of love and the prison of tradition.

Princess Mrinalini Rathore, the younger, is clumsy where her sister is composed, curious where she should be cautious. Forever compared to Devyani, she often hides behind her laughter and mistakes.

To her surprise, the gaze of Prince Adityan Singh - disciplined, noble, and every bit her opposite - falls upon her. What begins as duty unfolds into an unexpected tenderness that reshapes them both.

Two sisters.

Two loves.

One kingdom bound by duty, poetry, and the quiet rebellion of hearts.

In a world where thrones demand sacrifice, will the princesses of Rajgarh surrender to duty... or dare to follow the call of love?

When I first began writing Aakrit, I was young, raw, and full of emotion I barely understood. Aakriti and Kritharth were not just characters to me-they were fragments of my heart, whispers of my soul, and echoes of a love I wanted to feel, but never fully knew. I gave them life, gave them love, and ultimately... gave them an ending filled with sorrow. At that time, it felt true to the story I wanted to tell. Love, I believed, was not always gentle; it was messy, imperfect, and sometimes heartbreak was the only ending possible. Readers cried with them, laughed with them, and held their pain close, and for that, I am endlessly grateful. You made Aakrit live beyond my imagination. You made it yours. Yet, in the quiet moments after finishing the last page, I couldn't stop asking myself-what if love deserved more? What if Aakriti and Kritharth didn't have to endure the weight of a cruel fate? What if they could rise from their pain, heal, and finally find the happiness that was always theirs to claim? This version of Aakrit is born from that question. It is their story, the same journey, the same love, the same souls... but with hope threaded into every moment, with second chances, and with a light that refuses to fade. Their struggles remain, their flaws remain, but the ending is kinder, brighter, and full of the promise that true love-patient, enduring, eternal-deserves. As the author, I have walked with them through tears, through silence, through the storms of life. And now, I walk with them toward sunrise, toward laughter, toward forever. To the readers who held their hearts with mine, who stayed through their pain, who loved them even when I let them break-you are part of this journey too. This story is for you. This story is for all of us who dare to believe in love, in healing, and in happy endings. Because after all, I once wrote their ending in tears... today, I'm rewriting it in forever.

PAUL I cheated on my fiancée. Sophie and I were building our future. In love, happy, peaceful. Then she found a lump in her breast and I made the worst choice: I numbed my fear by sleeping with someone else. My worst mistake and my biggest regret. Now I see Sophie around town with him. She's radiant and laughing with people who actually show up. I'm trying to learn how to be a man who does. If she lets me, I'll spend the rest of my life proving I can choose her when it's hardest. If she lets me... SOPHIE I thought the promise was in sickness and in health. But he buried his fear in someone else. On the same night, I walked into a bookstore and meet the gentle giant owner who invites me to his book club full of misfits. I'm laughing again, I smile more than I ever have, I heal my heart. My ex says he can learn to stay, but my bookstore owner keeps showing up like it's as easy as breathing. I don't know what the future holds; I don't know if I'll win this battle against cancer, but I do know I'm done wasting time on people that love only when it's easy. CALLUM She came in to Rivers & Rhodes Bookstore and asked for books with happy endings only. I gave her a recommendation, an invitation, and an offer of friendship. Now, this beautiful brave woman is completely under my skin. I'm not here to win a competition against him. I'm here because choosing someone, second by second, is the only way I understand love.
