She puts on an act each and every day and pretends everything is alright when it is not. Her mother is dead, her father abuses her and her friends are real friends. One other thing, she is a werewolf, cool? Right?
As life gets harder Mae decides to run away, but how far can she run until her past is catches up to her? No matter how much or far you run you can never escape your past.

"Who are you?" His voice booms.
"I...um...I-I," I stutter.
"You're my mate, that's who you are. You will forget your past, your family, your friends and I will be your future," he says as he walks closer and closer to me. I push myself backward and push into a tree, trapped. He is taller than me so I look up at him.
He places his arms on the sides of my head, his minty breath fanning on my face.
"Okay?" He says.
"Okay," I repeat as he leans down, his eyes switching towards my lips and back up. I lift my knee up where the sun doesn't shine and he falls to the ground, I run and run from another male who will dominate me once again. Never again I vow.
