"I just want us to be friends," I say sincerely.
"Funny," Isadora lets out a huff, "that's the last thing I want us to be."
Amber Weems has always lived in the shadow of her aunt, the powerful principal of Nevermore Academy.
What was supposed to be a normal senior year, spent with her best friends Enid and Wednesday, turns into something dangerous, forbidden and yet undeniably beautiful.
Isadora Capri is a former child prodigy and now teaching at Nevermore. And even though she tries to hide it, she has an especially soft spot for one of her students.
She shouldn't like Amber, but she does.
Between stolen moments and yearning gazes there are secrets - secrets from the past that should've stayed hidden in the shadows forever, that have come to haunt their keepers.
Maybe they just need to love each other in the silence. Maybe they'll just listen to the sound of their secrets and wonder if they even had a chance to begin with.

A/N: This story is based in the 'Wednesday' universe and takes place after season one, however Weems isn't dead and the story only partly follows the events of Season 2.
None of these are my characters, apart from Amber Weems, so all rights to whoever made them.
I also want to say, that I DO NOT support a teacher/student type of relationship in real life! This story is PURELY FICTIONAL.
