"Hey Elliot?" He said, holding his torso tightly.
The other, Elliot, turned to look at him. His smile, big and happy, dropped instantly as his eyes looked him up and down. Red, fresh blood stained his suit, dripping onto the floor, leaving a trail following behind him.
"Do you think... we could've lasted?" Tears welled up in his eyes, his poker face dropping as he fell to the ground. Elliot rushed over, mouth open as if to speak, but no words came out. He pulled him into a hug, holding him tightly against his body. Silently praying. "M- Maybe, maybe we could have... but not here, not in t- this life..." His voice shook as he spoke, the tears falling before he could stop them.

... If only he hadn't shown up. Maybe then, maybe they would be happy.
