Some say he is Night City's most reliable mercenary - as long as the money is right, he'll even take down corporations.
But others say he is Night City's most unreliable mercenary, because even after accepting a contract, if he encounters something during the mission that disgusts him, he'll call on the spot to cancel the job - and might even turn around and take out the client instead.
He is a big shot who changed Night City, regarded by many as the fourth legendary hacker after Bartmoss, Alt, and Spider Murphy.
But actually...
Alex Mercer himself thinks quite simply about it.
"This world is too filthy. I just want to burn everything that offends my eyes to ash."
Of course, before that, he must solve one problem.
First, he needs to escape from Arasaka's youth hacker training facility together with Lucy and the other children - but for him, this doesn't seem like much of a challenge?
When encountering enemies, just overclock the brain-machine interface, then cyberware malfunction + synapse burnout kills them instantly. Isn't this how we players always play the hacker build?
