Ruby Shelby had inherited more than just her father's sharp blue eyes-she carried the Shelby fire in her blood. At sixteen, she had already perfected the art of testing boundaries. Her mother Lizzie fretted, her older brother Charlie scowled, and her dad-Tommy Shelby himself-watched her every move with a quiet intensity that Ruby sometimes found suffocating, sometimes reassuring.

That was the problem with being a Shelby girl-every man in her life thought they had the right to police her. Uncle Arthur was the worst, always muttering about "men with bad intentions." And Billy, Arthur's son who was Ruby's age, didn't help. He wasn't cruel, but he had a knack for snitching.

Still, Ruby found her ways. She slipped out of the house when Lizzie wasn't looking, met friends behind the pub in Small Heath, and occasionally tasted gin when someone older brought it. She wasn't reckless-not really. She just wanted to breathe, to feel like the world wasn't already mapped out for her.

Dorothy Monroe is a petite woman with a heart too big for her chest. She's pure, kind, she looked at the world and determined all the colours of nature were miracles and needed to be remembered. She's loved photography ever since her father brought a camera home and even had a gift with the newly designed lenses ever since she could wrap her small hands around the clunks of metal. Thomas Shelby: gangster; and war hero; he reads the devils script as if it were the morning newspaper - the list will go on. I don't need to say much more, you already know him. The Shelby family, as part of Tommy's expansion plan, bought a large area of the woods on the outskirts of Small Heath, far away from the Birmingham smog, there they built safe houses and kept heavy machinery; maybe even once they kept a large crate of stolen guns, supposedly belonging to the Government. Unbeknownst to Dorothy, who stumbled around the woods (a bulky camera in hand), she had explored the woods many times, taking photos of all the things that shined bright enough, but had never come across the peculiar buildings that held many dangers. That is, of course, until she knocks upon one of the doors, ready to give an earful to whoever had built over this precious patch of land, only to come face to face with one Thomas Shelby. -loosely follows the plot of season 1- *disclaimer* I do not own the Peaky Blinders or any of Steven Knights characters, only the story of Dorothy and her own plot line. This trope is cliche and overused, but idc, I like it.

𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝟏𝟗𝟐𝟎𝐬 was ruled by the Shelby family - or more so their gang. The Peaky Blinders were the infamous gang who earned their respect through the fear of the people. With the blades sewn into their flat caps and the weapons tucked into their jackets, people bowed their heads when passing them in the streets. You were considered lucky to have not had a run in with any of the three elder Shelby brothers. Arthur was the eldest. He was known for his fighting. You would often find him in the ring against somebody who was not his size. He went mad during the war and his return was nothing hit a relief for his mind. But when thinking he had finally escaped the war, one had started in his head. Arthur Shelby was his own enemy. Thomas was the second eldest - the most feared. He had a head for business and more common sense than his older brother. He had icy eyes which very rarely softened at the sight of anything. He was known for his trait of being unmerciful and careless. Despite being the second eldest, he was the brother who held the power. The brother who controlled the rest of them. John was the youngest of the three and arguably the softest. With his wonky smile and cheeky remarks, many of the girls in Small Heath found themselves falling at his feet. He would often find himself in trouble for acting childish. He didn't care too much for the business of the gang. He cared for the respect it brought their name. He enjoyed the thrill. And then you had John's twin sister - Francesca. Known for being one of the only Shelby siblings who seemed to laugh at Thomas. Her sister, Ada, being exactly the same. Francesca found that her brothers were ridiculous - too big for their boots as she'd say. Though she liked to use their name to get herself out of trouble. Francesca was often reckless and lacked the awareness one needed for the streets they lived in. She was her mother's daug

The Peaky Blinders were a street gang based in Birmingham, England, which operated from the 1880s until the 1920s. The group engaged in robbery, violence, racketeering, illegal bookmaking, and control of gambling with razor blades sewn into these caps. Everyone knew who they were. Everyone could pinpoint the family of mixed Irish Travellers with Romani origins from the very beginning. Everyone was scared. Except one. Although one could argue that she was cautious.... Several months after the end of the First World War, Aurora Wood found herself in a symbiotic relationship with the street gang and, most importantly, their ambitious, cunning crime boss, Tommy Shelby. It stemmed from more than just protection, a need for survival that the woman had because she was one of their own. In a way. Starting with the debt her father accumulated from Tommy. But as suppressing disorder and uprising persisted, the woman with fiery eyes started to adapt. And when one adapted, one became dangerous. Survival became a need, and regardless of Shelby's ambitions to build on the business empire he created and dispatch anyone who gets in his way, there was something about Aurora that he couldn't let go of. Could the enigma be solved for Tommy's sake, or will she escape from rising to the challenge of what she was meant to do? A/N: I don't own Peaky Blinders or any characters and places in this television series. Nor do I own the episodes that these chapters are based on and contain. I also don't claim to be a writer. My inspiration is to establish a creative outlet. I only own Aurora Wood and what pertains to her character story.

Arthur Shelby has 0 to very little experience with children. Sure he entertains his nieces and nephews but it's not quite the same as being a father. He doesn't need to take responsibility for them and he can give them as much alcohol as he pleases So when he visits an orphanage in America due to Tommy's orders, he is shocked to find himself bringing home two teenagers. He doesn't know how it happened or what made him do it, but by God was it the best decision he had made Does not follow plot of Peaky Blinders. I don't own the characters except Lydia, Mason and a few extras Warning: Suicide Abuse Rape
