So I had just started my Undertale obsession (and I didn't feel like playing the Genocide route for YouTube). I enjoyed the game so much that I decided to make an Undertale fanfiction!
Nine-year-old Meg loves her mother more than anything else. No matter how hard life is for her, she always hugs Meg, makes her smile, and tells her an amazing story... one about the world of humans and monsters. But then a war broke out between the two races, and the humans won, sealing the monsters underground. Meg loves hearing this story, and it inspires her to be a kind person.
But when her mother dies of her terminal illness, Meg is forced to live with her abusive father and stepmother. They yell at her for every mistake she makes, call her by her real name (even though she hates that), and worst of all, they keep trying to erase her mother from her life. Eventually, Meg can't take it anymore, so she runs away to a mountain.... and falls in.
During her time under the mountain, she quickly learns that her mother's story was true all along. And now she must find a way to give that story the happy ending it deserves.
Chapter titles are named after the background music of Undertale
(The story is gonna be converted to a comic version, so be prepared for those changes)

Sam is a neutral name so it should be fine. - NOTE: All lines with this symbol " * " is going to be in Wing Ding font in the final release of the book. Undertale is a beautiful game from 2015 by Toby Fox. I was among the many who jumped on the bandwagon and got into the game. Since then, the fanbase has created many alternate universes (aus). Flowerfell was created a year later in comic form. It's among the saddest aus while keeping the tone of Underfell (the evil fan made counterpart of the base game). I've been wanting to write a Flowerfell fanfiction for a long time, and here it finally is. I heavily debated whether to write the usual happy ending or a sad one, aligning with the original creator's intentions. Fall into the Underground and find out. And remember, Humans and Monsters.
