September: Life Insurance Awareness Month - Breaking the Myth of "Too Expensive" Part 1
Every September, the financial services industry dedicates an entire month to shining a light on one of the most overlooked, yet most essential, parts of financial planning-life insurance. Life Insurance Awareness Month is not just another calendar event; it's a wake-up call, a reminder that tomorrow is never promised, and that the decisions we make today have a lasting impact on our loved ones.
Still, despite the importance of life insurance, millions of people remain uninsured or drastically underinsured. The number one reason? A persistent, damaging myth: "Life insurance is too expensive."
But is it really? Or have we allowed assumptions, misinformation, and fear to block us from protecting the very people we love most?
This essay will break down this myth, explain why people fall for it, and most importantly, provide solutions that prove life insurance is not only affordable-it's invaluable.

The Reality Check: Why Life Insurance Matters
Before we talk about affordability, we have to revisit the "why." Life insurance is not about money-it's about love, responsibility, and legacy.
Think about it. If you are the primary breadwinner in your household, or even if you just contribute to your family's financial well-being, your income is a lifeline. It pays the rent or mortgage, covers food, transportation, school tuition, healthcare, and so much more. But what happens if that income suddenly disappears?
Without life insurance, your family may face:
• The immediate burden of funeral costs, which can range from $8,000 to $15,000.
• Monthly bills piling up with no relief in sight.
• The possibility of losing their home because the mortgage can't be paid.
• Long-term sacrifices, like children not being able to attend college.

And that's exactly how it's turning out for Penelope and Y/n, even though their love will not falter. Some things are just bound to rock their world into unbalance. To destroy the simple path to their happy ending.
Engaged and with a baby on the way. Dangerous job at the BAU and family trouble. What could possibly go wrong in a world where fairy tale endings don't exist? At least they'll be together, aright?
TW homophobia, rape (mentioned and sort of memory), postpartum depression, anxiety, violence. All of my stories contain some sort of awareness that needs spreading, and this one is important. Especially as it is something not talked about often enough. I hope i manage to portray it fairly and right, and help people know that it is a real thing. Not just an excuse or overreaction, and mothers are suffering from it because of the unaware teaching system.
ALSO there are unnecessary many Bones quotes and scenes in this one. Which is why i used Temperance Brennan as the picture of Y/n. PS not an actual representation of how Y/n looks
