Italia and Cecilia were born as fox twins, a rare event that only happens every few centuries. The legends state that twin foxes are the rightful leaders of their kind, destined to bring glory and prosperity to the clan. However, everything changes when they discover the dark truth behind the ceremony they must perform to take power. Realizing the danger, they decide to escape, and with the help of a beloved friend and teacher, they manage to disappear. After being on the run for months, they accidentally stumble across the Shadow Moon pack's border and run into Artemis, the Luna of the pack. Despite being raised to mistrust other animal shifters, they reluctantly follow her into the safety of the pack's heart.
Asher is the younger brother of Kayden, the Alpha of the Shadow Moon pack. As a captain of the royal guard and the right-hand man to the future King of the werewolves, Asher has always respected his brother, even when they disagree. Upon arriving home for vacation, he is met with an intoxicating scent and finally meets the mate he has been waiting for his entire life. But he quickly realizes that while she is beautiful, she has been taught to fear his kind. Asher knows he will have his work cut out for him if he wants to win her trust and keep her by his side.
Italia never expected that running from her compound would lead her to a mate-especially not a dominant wolf shifter. Despite the temptation of the mate bond, Italia is determined to keep Asher at arm's length. Along with her fiercer twin sister, she must find a way to avoid their own kind and uncover the truth behind the ceremony, all while trying to save both of their lives in the process.
