𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗯𝗲 '𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆' 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘆 is nothing like her siblings. She's not confident like her big sister, and she sure as hell doesn't feel as smart as her older brother. Her place in the family is 'calm, unproblematic youngest child,' and she wants to keep it that way. Being known as well behaved is better than being known as a crybaby. She doesn't need anyone knowing about her internal confusion and lack of friends; she has her special notebook for that. If there's one thing she's good at, other than writing, it's hiding things.
But when her father has her stuck doing phone duty at his motor shop, she starts to grow close to his apprentice, 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵. She comes to find out he hides as much as she does, although his reasons are different. As they become friends, Baby's feelings change from friendship to love.
If he were anyone else, it wouldn't be a problem. But he isn't anyone else; he's Joey, the boy Aoife's been interested in since forever. And Baby refuses to steal her big sister's crush. Family is above anything else. Her big sister deserves to be happy, even if it's with the boy she loves. Joey doesn't even like her that way... right?
"To love me, you need to love my scars too. And I don't know if you're prepared to do that."
When the girl that has made it her life mission to protect does everything in her power to deflect the apologies of the boy who hurt her sister.
In which Johnny Kavanagh desperately tries to earn Niamh Lynch's forgiveness, unprepared for the distruction getting to know her would cause. Yet, he stays by her side until every wound is stitched up.
