"What is going on?" Evan finally demanded and Mr. Reigns chuckled, crossing his arms.

"Your parents have a debt to me, kid. 17 years ago, Margaret came to me for help, as Phillip was sterile and they needed a miracle to save their boy. I had my men tested and one kindly donated to your parents, to give them a parts garden for the child they actually wanted.

"The only payment I asked for was, well, you. My children needed spouses, and why not one indebted into loyalty? I believe my son, Derek, is the one interested, so feel lucky. You may be marrying the heir to the biggest mafia on the West Coast," he said smugly, Evan's mouth falling open.
