Idk man. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Anyway, here's the description:

Keith had been alone for 10 years. He'd been living peacefully on an uncharted Altean island ever since he had helped end the Galra war when he was 17. Sure, it was lonely, but after watching his entire family get slaughtered, witnessing the fall of entire civilizations, and enduring trauma after trauma after trauma? It was a good break. Now 28, he feels the solitude catching up to him. But he learned to cope. To adapt. Being a soldier during his adolescence had helped with that: always be ready to pivot. He adjusted. Things were nice, a pleasant status quo he had no intention of changing.

But then the storm rolled in.

Lance had been stuck for 10 years. Yeah, he had Hunk and Pidge, he had a stable job, loving family and a way to make a living, but what he really wanted was to be out on the open sea, exploring the world he knew so little about. The war had robbed him of his chance when he was younger- it was time to make up in lost time. He had worked tirelessly for a decade, saving up for a ship he could call his own. But the day he managed to reach his goal, his 27th birthday no less, tragedy struck. A giant storm had struck the coast, marooning him on an unknown island, seemingly uninhabited, apart from the unusually tall, unusually edgy, 28 year old war veteran who goes by the name Keith Kogane. Why did his name sound so familiar? Why was he on that island? What will become of them both?
