A graying canvas scarred and bruised with swollen thunderheads drew in heavy and still; its breath growling in a low rumble. A restless whisper, building an unwavering anticipation, shaking the very air as the wind's voice carried a sorrowful wail-singing a song of tragedy. The first drops of rain slither down the roof's plate tiles, like a widow's tears upon a pool of crimson red. A dying voice.. a cynical sinister vow.. "I trusted you..." A final sigh. "You. Will. Pay."

Serenity was unknown to her. She endured as the flames of hatred burned still in her scarred heart. The solemn voice of the rustling wind was the only thing that comforted her. "That book lied to me. I am meant to be happy? What now? Ah. It's a fantasy book." Death was her dream peace. "You can't die." Until a stern, yet undeniably soothing voice welcomed her ears.
