BUT NO ONE SAW THE WEIGHT SHE CARRIED-THE BURDEN OF A LOVE THAT WAS NEVER SPOKEN, HANDS THAT ALMOST TOUCH BUT NEVER DO. NEVER HEARD, NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE. SHE LOVED HIM IN THE SPACES BETWEEN WORDS, IN THE PAUSES OF CONVERSATIONS NEVER HAD, IN THE LONGING OF BIRTHDAYS SPENT WAITING FOR HIM WHO NEVER CAME.
