A successful city makes people retell its best stories again and again. The stories are reconstructed through camera lenses, fictionalised through everyday experiences, and reimagined in books. Well, Edinburgh is nothing if not a successful city, and it's home to more than one extraordinary story!
As an Edinburgh resident, born and bred, I've grown up knowing and loving one particular story - that of a certain faithful wee dog.
Here's my take on three different true stories about one of Edinburgh's most famous residents ever - Greyfriars Bobby.

It is a story about a couple of characters that learn what it means to live in this world. They want to be better by only speaking about change. Talking about change comforts them and when it is time for action, they tend to forget about the promises they once made. In a story about life and death, happiness and sadness, a couple of characters would learn what it takes if you want your happy ending. (Almost 70.000 words).Complete

we both love the outsiders and johnnyboy so why not write oneshots about them?! the au we're going to mostly be using is that they're living in our time (still the same setting). here's some details about it: • ages: darry - 23, soda - 19, pony - 17, johnny - 16, dally - 20, steve - 20, two-bit - 21 and a half. (we upped everyone's ages by 3 except johnny, because we originally upped pony's by 3. so we made it fair) • dally lives alone with his two puppers :') their names are booper (a sheltie + corgi mix) and waffle (a dachshund)! (he's a college drop out, but has a paying job) • darry is a college graduate and has a job that he loves. soda, steve, and two bit are still in college and are living with their families. • pony and johnny are, of course, in high school. • everyone's families are the same. (except maybe the fact that their parents are willing to pay for school. idk if they don't in the book) • everyone's personalities are the same. (we're sorry if we don't do their personalities exactly correct) • we may do aus in aus! which basically means we might do something like, cafe aus but we'll still use the facts from the modern au we have here! - p.j (the outsiders belong to s.e. hinton!! we just made a few tweaks) ~~~~~~ (update 3/11/18) the book is now finished. with schoolwork being stressful, personal problems, and me and p.j. becoming more distant (heck they don't even use wattpad anymore), neither of us have much time or motivation to continue. we're sorry, and we hope you enjoyed the book while it lasted. - toddComplete

Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait. Enjoy! ~~~ She sat frozen, hardly allowing herself to breathe. Keefe was... gone? Shock paralyzed her whole body as her mind processed this thought. "No." Sophie muttered, sure she had to have gotten it wrong. This was all a misunderstanding right? Maybe she'd read it wrong... or maybe it was a joke. Yes. A joke, that's what it had to be. It had to be a joke. Cause this? Keefe leaving? Never seeing him again? If that were true... if this was real... She'd never survive the coming war. ~~~ He was so close. Mcyt - Mythic AU (Discontinued)
In this world you're either part animal, a fantastical beast, or a human. The beasts are called Mythics. The Humans don't quite like the Mythics, and they declared war on them unfortunately won. The Humans banished the Mythics to a far away land, and if caught in a foreign land, consider yourself dead. The Mythic AU world depends on how good a certain Mythic is in morals, which coincides with what they would look like. The Humans of course, remain unaffected by these laws. If the village is always good hearted and has the best morals you would only have ears and a tail. (depending on the species of course). If the village was neutral, meaning they did both good and bad at times, they'd have ears and a tail, but other animal features too like paws or animal facial features. And finally if the village had horrible morals, and did everything evil in their power, they'd be considered a 'Beast'. Now a beast, is a Mythic who has completely lost their marbles and gone full beast, but they walk around like humans, (basically typical werewolves.) They'd be covered in fur or scales head to toe and act like complete monsters. They can also potentially develop other species mutations, like horns or strange appendages. (Take notice how I did this is chapter 3's drawing.) Beasts are able to change humans into Mythics as well, with the intent of course. Never in the world of the Mythic AU has a good beast ever been recorded. Hope you enjoy! It took me a bit to think about this so hopefully you like it. :) Also quick warning, some parts might contain swearing, so if your sensitive to that stuff, please do not read for your own safety!
