Los Angeles hums under banners and loudspeakers. By day, Zaphne is the Directorate's model citizen-scientist, violinist, and the calm face at rallies. By night, she slips into the city's forgotten corridors, telling small stories, playing simpler songs, walking families toward doors that still open. When she learns the pattern hidden inside the regime's "calming" systems, she writes a counter-sequence only a violin can carry-and pirate radio makes sure America hears it. Locks falter. Gates unlatch. The rumor of a shield-bearer spreads. So do raids. Flagged as LARK, Zaphne has one chance left: reach the faithful lab and send a distress beacon before the Directorate buries the truth under sirens and smoke. Faith becomes a compass, mercy becomes defiance, and a single sustained note might turn a country's fear into a way out.

The Egg

In the heart of the desert, a forgotten antenna begins to vibrate. No one else hears it. Except her. An echo repeats through frequencies that shouldn't exist. It doesn't carry voices. It doesn't carry data. It carries something older than any language. And it's growing. On the other side of the world, someone takes note. And someone else... prepares a response. A conspiratorial science fiction novel filled with mystery, impossible signals, and a truth not everyone is ready to face. It begins with a sound. It ends with a choice.
