Marley Brown has never figured himself as the hero type. When his entire world is threatened by the creatures lurking in the forests known as "The Unknown", his plan is just to panic along with everyone else. Unfortunately, fate has other plans. When a mysterious creature shows up to deliver a prophecy, Marley is shocked to learn that he must assume the role of a hero, travel into The Unknown, and work to stop the villain that the prophet spoke of. With the help of the mysterious creature, he sets off into The Unknown. But the forest doesn't come without a cost, and when you're slowly losing your body and soul, how much has to be taken before you're no longer human?

A psychological horror about identity, survival, and the fragile line between childlike innocence and something darker. In this world, it is just as messy. Oh! Did I get your attention? Nice. Sorry if that was a word salad to you, but I have to catch you from the crowd somehow. The story centers around Conner. A broken golden retriever furry. He searches for simple physiological needs and steps up the pyramid to find himself in a broken world with nothing but rubble and all sorts of company. Say that sentence in one breath. Conner ventures out in the vast enclosed environment while trying to get a sense of his past, present, and future. The world is in ruins, from mysterious entities that nobody has the answer for their origin. Or, perhaps, nobody has the guts to look deeper. In this adventure, it has trauma, drama, comedy, oddities, tears, fears, death, and romance! You can't rhyme with that now, can you? Every chapter adds a puzzle on the piece. Revealing the big picture, or at least, half of it. This is heavily based on First Person POV, and how the story is dictated is biased upon Conner's interpretation. When a secretive research site ends up making the mistake of a lifetime, the world slowly descends into chaos. It's only ever been seen in movies, but there's no other way to describe what happened to the earth and the people living on it, other than an apocalypse. A group of humans stick together to try their best to survive, they eventually lose their home, forcing them to travel and find a new one, they make friends and enemies along the way, but they manage to find quite an odd group of survivors, if they can even be called that.
