The ship of Theseus: how many parts of yourself do you have to lose before you're no longer human?
Marley Brown has never figured himself as the hero type. When his entire world is threatened by the creatures lurking in the forests known as "The Unknown", his plan is just to panic along with everyone else. Unfortunately, fate has other plans. When a mysterious creature shows up to deliver a prophecy, Marley is shocked to learn that he must assume the role of a hero, travel into The Unknown, and work to stop the villain that the prophet spoke of. With the help of the mysterious creature, he sets off into The Unknown. But the forest doesn't come without a cost, and when you're slowly losing your body and soul, how much has to be taken before you're no longer human?

The Undead
When a secretive research site ends up making the mistake of a lifetime, the world slowly descends into chaos. It's only ever been seen in movies, but there's no other way to describe what happened to the earth and the people living on it, other than an apocalypse. A group of humans stick together to try their best to survive, they eventually lose their home, forcing them to travel and find a new one, they make friends and enemies along the way, but they manage to find quite an odd group of survivors, if they can even be called that. For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. The once familiar world turned into a dark tunnel of mystery the day Kate heard the words "Kill her!" she shouted. "Yes...!!!" Yes...!!! Yes...!!!!!!!!! Well played!' Kate's eyes widened, and her skin turned pale; fright was written all over her face. She ran out, slamming the door. Uncovering the truth to her eight years of suffering, Kate has gone insane. Reminded of her trauma, she ran fast; her pace increased, and she ran and ran... to the near park until she was out of breath. Luckily the park is abandoned, so there wasn't anyone else besides Kate. "The cause of the traumatic experience is one's selfish desire... no... obsession!!" Kate sat at a corner on a bench, catching up her breath and trembling. She was sweating all over. She wouldn't stop shivering. The truth of that incident: her family tried to kill her? Why?!! Back then, eight years ago, that incident changed her life; the truth is harsher and fiercer.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing.
