Death Wears a Veil II A year has passed since the Widow Maker died, leaving a trail of blood and unanswered questions. The town has tried to move on, but the silence never felt like peace-only the calm before the storm. When Julien, Jupiter, Jin, and Loredo return to town, they expect nothing more than a reunion with familiar streets and old ghosts. But fate has other plans. On the very day of their arrival, the veil lifts once more-and a killer appears again copying exactly what the widow maker did. His killings are crueler, his presence darker, his mask scarier than before, but his hunger is stronger. As bodies fall and terror spreads, the four friends are forced into a nightmare that refuses to stay buried. The town whispers of curses, vengeance, and sins that refuse to stay hidden. But the new killer isn't hunting at random this time. He's weaving something far more personal-something that ties Julien, Jupiter, Jin, and Loredo to the blood-soaked heart of his appearance. The question is no longer if they can survive him. It's why he appeared the very day they did. And whether the truth beneath his veil is more terrifying than death itself.

Falling in love is easy, mourning is hard. When Chang Yoona marries the notorious CEO of the largest bank corporation in South Korea, she thinks everything is finally falling into place. That is until she is diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Not being able to give her husband a child when he provides her everything strikes her to the core. Despite her hatred for her in-laws, she owes it to her husband to accept the trip to Gijang-Gun. She never thought that would be the last time she would ever see him. Now five years later any resemblance of her husband is drowned out by the silence of the Hanok village that Yoona seals herself in, only drifting to the Namdaemun Market often enough to keep her cupboards stocked. She would have remained in the silent village if she didn't inspect a noise across the courtyard one night, leaving her dinner to burn in the kitchen. The last of her husband's belongings would've turned to ash without the help of the Haechi-an ancient Korean myth she never thought she would witness in her lifetime. The guardian is known for his righteousness with distinguishing between good and evil, but she didn't realize he sought out punishment until she discovers the guardian possesses more knowledge about her husband's death than the authorities. Seoul is known for its pristine mask, but underneath something lurks, and in the night it thrives. Everything begins to unravel for Yoona as the investigation of her husband's death leads her into the depths of manipulation until she becomes the puppet to her husband's killer. Tempted with the taste of blood, the vengeful widow begins down a treacherous path that even the guardians above won't be able to forgive her for.
