Giyu and Shinobu had always been close, even though they denied it. Giyu had always felt that Shinobu was more than a friend to him. He tried to collect the courage to confess to her, but he ran out of time. They fell into the Infinity Castle starting the last battle. When he found out Shinobu didn't make it, he was heartbroken. He felt rage. He was mad at the demons, he was mad at the world. Why did they have to take the one person who gave him hope and joy away?

After the war he couldn't live with himself. Was it his fault? Would he ever see her again? Why didn't he just take the chance to confess to her when he could? He tried to smile and be happy, but he wasn't. What else could he do? He only wanted Shinobu back.... He opened up to people he cared about, and he smiled for Shinobu. 

What if he saw Shinobu again? No that's crazy....that would never happen.....
