The Crown is Destined to Fall

Aegis Straum defined his grand estate as the pinnacle of his own mindset. Where horses have wings to fly yet chained to stable grounds, where the budding of flowers stay all year around in a glass greenhouse; a controlled environment fit for a madman who was willing to use himself as the subject of experiments. In the middle of the unchanging eden, he marked the start of his N-th counter.

" I will give you everything you want. So you must stay with me. You cannot leave me alone Aegis.... I won't let you."

It was nothing that he hadn't seen before. Delusion, obsession. The Crown adorned with diamonds and rubies that is meant to sit atop Yurel's head lays on the lap of another like a toy for a child.

And he likes it, the feeling of adoration, the touch of fervour. Because all that remains at the end of the cycle is a beautiful back that led the empire to ruin; writhing under the sole of his shoes in pained murmur. A firm body pressing against his calves in a desperate attempt to please.

And so he welcomes it. After every cycle burns away his own sanity. He captures the lips of the teary eyed love-fool and enjoys the beginning of it all.
