After an unexpected event destroyed all five Clans, most of them had to move away from the lake, leaving the territory of their ancestors behind, along with the memories. Although they found a new territory with the help of StarClan, one of the five Clans is missing, and the so-called peace is too fragile to be relied on.
A season after the foundation of four new clans, the only living SkyClan warrior who followed them gives birth to four kits, before finally joining their ancestors in the afterlife. Taken as a sign of StarClan that they must stay united, each clan takes one of them to live with them permanently. Little do they know, ice will shatter, and the kittens they took with them moons ago are expected, by the living, and not by StarClan itself, to keep them together.
