Lacey Ballard was one of the nicest girls in school and still managed to be on the Varsity cheerleading team. Then last summer, she was forced to leave the squad the day before Nationals, and didn't give her team an explanation. Since then, her squad had turned against her, leaving her isolated and friendless. None of her friends knew that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

Sean Preston was one of the cutest guys in school, and had been playing football since he learned how to walk. He had all the pretty girls after him and all the jocks by his side.
