Beneath the shadow of an ancient mountain lies an entire civilization of Pokémon who were banished long ago, forced to survive in the caverns. To the Surface, they are rebels, exiles, and criminals. To themselves, they are survivors.
When Finch, an adventurous and free-spirited Jolteon from the Surface, is found half-dead in the caverns, his fate becomes entwined with Kuro, a careful and reserved Umbreon of the Underground. With time, the two slowly begin to realize that the line that separates their worlds is much thinner than they both were taught.
Invisible tethers quickly form between Kuro, Finch, and a cast of characters fed up with the society their ancestors have formed. This is the story of how their crossroads tore down the walls keeping these two worlds apart.
[Takes place in the same universe as There's Warmth in Ice, set in the far past; one similar to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.]
