The Last God of the Amazon

In 1950, Dr. Lillian "Lily" Shaw becomes the first woman to serve as a government-appointed biological scientist-a position that costs her family, her reputation, and nearly her freedom. Disowned for refusing to return to the kitchen and distrusted by the men who surround her, Lily is sent deep into the Amazon Rainforest on a mission shrouded in secrecy.

Whispers speak of a creature-half-man, half-amphibian-worshipped as a god by the tribes who live along the river. The government wants answers.
