A Father Again (Hazbin Hotel Kid)

At the Hazbin Hotel, Husk was as grumpy as ever-lost in cards, drinks, and his usual bad mood at the bar. Nothing ever surprised him... until she showed up.

A little girl, no older than ten, dressed neatly, polite, and far too innocent for Hell. Charlie offered her a place to stay, and soon, the halls of the hotel echoed with her silly laughter, her playful pranks, and her innocent warmth.

Husk told himself he didn't care. He was no father figure. He had no family left.

But every time she tugged on his sleeve, drew him pictures, or called him "less scary when he smiled," Husk felt something crack in his chest. Something he thought was long dead.

Memories started to return-painful, buried memories of a daughter he once loved more than life itself. Memories of a goodbye he never got to say.

And when the truth came out... Husk realized the impossible.

His daughter was with him again.

Now, in the unlikeliest of places, a grumpy, broken man is given a second chance to be a father.
