Aveline Meyers spends her days at a hotel job and her nights writing BL stories to escape. Her latest story is about a girl barely in her twenties, transported to a world of magic and monsters she thought only existed in fairytales. One night, after reading her readers' comments, Aveline collapses at her desk-and wakes up inside her own story. Now she has to survive in a world she created, while her female lead is trapped in a man's body, facing danger, confusion, and feelings she never expected. But how can the author survive in her own story when the rules of her world are no longer hers to control?

Amantha is not ready to be anything other than a wild, tomboy princess, but when tragedy strikes this unlikely royal is called upon to rule a kingdom. Scared to grow up, she runs away from responsibility and finds a new world in an adventure to find out who she really is inside. While Amantha is no princess in distress, she has much to learn about the world of magic and mystery and along with the help of a beautiful boy with a secret past, she uncovers the fairy tale world that lives right outside of her kingdom. "When I was little, I didn't believe that there was magic. I had been taught that no elves, witches, leprechauns, unicorns, harpies, trolls or dragons had ever existed. No one could turn into anything else and everything happened for a reason. Now that I'm older, I realize that even if a tutor told me those things, you can't believe everything people say. I happen to know that magic exists because I have seen it with my own eyes. If you believe that dreams come true, they will. And fairy tales aren't only in story books."
