Prologue

The sound of her own heartbeat was deafening.

Taylor stood frozen in the dark, her breath ragged, her palms slick. She lifted her hands slowly, staring down at them. Red. Streaked across her fingers, staining the lines of her skin. Her chest rose and fell in uneven gasps, the metallic scent of blood clinging to the night air.

She swallowed hard, trying to steady herself, but her throat burned. The world felt tilted, wrong-like the universe had shifted in one violent second and left her standing in the wreckage.

Somewhere behind her, voices called her name. Desperate. Urgent. She shut her eyes tight, pressing her bloody hands to her chest as if that could erase what she'd done.

She whispered into the night, a plea more than a prayer.

"No one can ever know."

And then-darkness.

A queen and a pop star. Who would've thought? ---- As the door swung open with a soft creak, a cool rush of air followed a figure clad in a dark leather jacket. The dim lights flickered, casting warm shadows across the polished wood of the bar. She strode in with a purpose, her confident steps echoing slightly on the hardwood floor. Brown hair framed a face that was both striking and enigmatic, highlighted by a pair of piercing cold blue eyes scanning the room. At first glance, she seemed like someone who was used to being the center of attention, yet there was an undercurrent of mystery surrounding her. "Is this seat taken?" she asked, her voice dark and smooth like aged whiskey. The bartender glanced over, recognizing her as Yulius Aogiri, a multi-millionaire known for her extraordinary beauty and frozen heart that had everyone stumped. Her presence turned a few heads, drawing murmurs from a couple of patrons who were familiar with her reputation. Also the owner of the bar. ---- The angels up in the clouds Are jealous knowin' we found Somethin' so out of the ordinary You got me kissing the ground Of your sanctuary Shatter me with your touch Oh, Lord, return me to dust The angels up in the clouds Are jealous knowin' we found ~ Alex Warren * Rated R for mature content and language. * Slowest slow-burn ever *Use of ChatGPT This story is entirely my work of fiction. All characters and fictional places are from my own imagination except for the obvious real famous people. The timeline is not necessarily a hundred percent accurate to Taylor's for the sake of the story and for it to make sense. I hope you enjoy it!

[Sequel to Clean - you need to read that one first] "Five years together. Five years apart. And still, you carry her voice with you. Still, when it's late and you're too drunk or too lonely or too honest, you hear her say your name the way she did when it was the only thing in the world that mattered to her. Selling the apartment won't fix you. It won't make her disappear. It won't erase the way she made you feel, the way she laughed, or the way you fucked it all up. You'll carry every inch of this place inside you-every memory, every fight, every night spent tangled up in sheets, in each other, thinking you had all the time in the world. But you tell yourself it might help, that maybe one day, the memories will fade-from this scarlet maroon, to quote yourself. That maybe if you leave this place behind, you'll finally stop searching for her in every city, every stranger, every quiet moment you don't know how to fill." This story starts 10 years after the ending of Clean. Taylor thought she and Karlie would have forever together. She was wrong. Five years later, she's still writing Karlie into every lyric, still mourning what they had, not even pretending to move on. Then one night at a fundraising dinner, there's Karlie across the room, radiant beside her husband. They don't speak. Can barely look at each other. But Taylor feels that familiar pull, that dangerous flutter of possibility, and she knows-knows-she's about to make a catastrophic mistake to kill whatever part of her still belongs to Karlie. What she can't imagine is just how catastrophic that mistake will turn out to be. And how it will change her life forever. CONTENT WARNING: throughout the story, there will be moments with vomiting, blood, self-harm, alcohol abuse, mentions of past drug use, mental health issues, pregnancy, abortion. I will try to remember to include the warnings in the chapters, I promise.

Call Me Up Again

51 parts Complete Mature

A Taylor Swift fanfic - Máire never expected a wrong number to change her life forever. At first, she didn't think much of it, but when the unknown caller keeps blowing up her phone and she ends up talking to the charming and mysterious woman that wants to keep her identity a secret, she finds herself drawn to that girl more with each text and late-night call. Neither of them knew that sometimes the most unexpected connections can lead to the most profound relationships. As they continue to grow closer, navigating the challenges of time zones, long-distance communication and their vastly different lives, both of them soon must decide if they're willing to take a leap of faith and uproot everything they've known so far. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction! Most characters and places were created in my head, except for real life people, like celebrities and especially Taylor herself. Their actions and words are completely imaginary. I wrote everything with the utmost respect for Taylor and anyone who makes an appearance and it's intended to entertain and nothing more. We don't assume peoples sexualities here, we just vibe. Timeline won't be a hundred percent accurate to make this story make sense, but major events are still a thing.
