Whispers in the Dark

The town of Ezioma lay under a restless sky, rain thundering down in torrents as though the heavens themselves had split open. The zinc rooftops of the small Nigerian town clattered like drums, and the streets, usually thick with red dust, had transformed into flowing rivers of brown water.
