What is Love? Is it just a word, an emotion, a thought? How do you know what's real when it was never presented to you in the right way? You want to love, but do you know how? Roman grew up in a household that lacked love. A abusive mother, an incarcerated father, he didn't know what love was-he barely knew what emotions were. He was always told that men don't cry, they take things to the chin. Chin up, chest out. He knew nothing about giving/ receiving love, and at this point he didn't want to. He felt like the internal damage was irreversible. Ashante grew up in a household that struggled with love. She watched not only her mother but older sister hop from men to men. Her father abandoning her at the tender age of 14. Only men she knew was the ones her mother would partake in until she got tired or another came-same for her sister. Ashante never heard the words 'I love you', she barely knew what a family dynamic was. She lived in a full house but yet felt alone. She yearned for love, she yearned for wanting to feel wanted/ needed. Only thing is, Ashante didn't know what love was... That's until they crossed paths.. Two completely opposite people with so much similarities, wanting different things in life, but it was something they needed the most-which was love. Thing was, neither one of them knows what Love is... "The Rose that Grew from the Concrete" type of Love. All Rights Reserved
