After the death of the first and only Robin to ever fight alongside the Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne had sworn to never take another child under his wing again. Unfortunately for him, fate would have other plans, finding himself adopting a struggling young woman who was in need of a hero now more than ever. The two would find solace in each other, giving him the strength he needed to rebuild the family that he had lost so tragically. For the first time in his life, it looked like things were starting to look up for Bruce Wayne.

But deep within the depths of Blackgate prison, one of Batman's most formidable foes continued to stew in his hatred for the man who had bested him. After losing to the Batman, Bane not only lost his prestige, but also everyone and everything he had ever worked for. He was powerless, having nothing left but his hatred for the Dark Knight, left to rot in Blackgate with no chance of escape... or so Batman thought.

Bane had a plan, as he always did, and this time he would show Batman the true meaning of "loss". With Bane's honor gone, he had nothing left to lose... and everything to gain from the newest addition to the Wayne family.
