dont know I agree completely with your analysis. I agree that this how could have been written better and seriously they seemed to go to middle earth and come back in terms of realism. However I enjoyed the first 4/5 episodes of this show the most. The chemistry between all the actors Kim v Elyes and Elyes v Pat were good. I like Pat initially he skimmed aware of himself and his feelings and he also knew who Elyes was however his expectations became unrealistic for the person that Elyes was. He was. Clear that you needed to be willing to be with him. Elyes character was always upfront about wht he could offer and these mean accepted it, not saying its right to be the way he was. I loved the fact that he tackled issues head on, he was forever calling PAt out on his feelings while Pat just seemed to run away. I loved P Aeom's and Pat's friend characters they were funny. Overall, cast was easy on the eye, they tried to stay true to the novel, it was bad but entertaining .
