Annie is an ideal girl for the teenage guy. Good looks, good personality, good sense of humor, with a good head on her shoulders and a stable job to work, all while maintaining a nearly perfect GPA and an active social life. She has the whole package.

But what hides behind the perfect girl with the perfect smile is a life filled with trying times.

The youngest child of the Beaumont family is burdened with a problem that nobody knows of-nobody but her two outcast friends and the family, though living with an alcoholic father, emotionally abusive mother, and passive siblings forces her into a state of isolation. She rides the problems out on her own. Then, her older brother, Kai, enters a world of carnal desires, greed, and tasteful temptation. Annie watches day by day in the place that she once called her haven fall apart before her very eyes, at the hands of thea very people whom she holds dear to her own heart.

Then, a schoolmate of her older brother Kai's, a transferee named Lunox Stewart who is immediately shunned by the rest of the school on her first day because of her quirks, enters the picture. The Beaumont family's life changes in a way that they didn't expect it to.

Closing our door on the past and opening new ones, however, is sometimes what is needed to pave the way for a hopeful future.
