In Eigis, a nation of the highest technology without magic, the Blackstream Office does things the old way: grit, instinct, and minimal upgrades.
Noan Morrison is the veteran who operates alone like a distant father. Adam Baxter is the apprentice who never learned to shut up with the freedom to prove it. Tori is the dragon taken in and now, she's learning to be a person in an alien city that sees her as a prize.
Their cases range from crime syndicates to rogue cyborgs to the monsters that emerge when the human mind breaks. Sometimes, melodrama and heartbreak.
