Scarlett Hernandez-Pierre wanted nothing more then to help people, after the brutal treatment from her parents she realized that she deserved better and she would never treat anybody less then thy deserved, that's why it catches everyone by surprise when se spoke to buck like he was the biggest dumbass in the world.

When Rachel Sloan decided to be a firefighter it was definitely a shock to a lot of Rachel's family. Growing up in a family full of doctors most expected her to do the same. Her father was known for being a world class plastic surgeon. After all, he was the Mark Sloan. Her mother Ariana was a neurosurgeon who was damn good at her job. Rachel grew up with her cousin Noah Shepherd since her dad was best friends with his parents. She joined the 118 when she was twenty five and had been there since. Moving to L.A was a change but it was one she was happy with.
