(Note: So years ago I wrote a story for the animated series of The Mummy with the same title and I figured since I've been wanting to rewrite some of my old stories for a while now, I'd add this one to the list! The original WILL be staying up! I won't be deleting that so don't worry! I'm just rewriting this one so it's based off of the 1999 movie of The Mummy rather than the animated version with some changes to fit the 1999 movie! Don't know if I'm gonna do a second story for The Mummy Returns since I already have "Daughter of Anubis" in the works and that's set during the Mummy Returns unless people want me to make a sequel to this one with the Mummy Returns so comment if I should do a sequel! You can also argue this is also a rewrite of my "Can you Forgive the Damned" as well which was also popular when I first wrote it so you guys are getting a two for one rewrite with this story! "Can You Forgive the Damned" will ALSO be staying up and will not be deleted in case you're wondering! Also potential trigger warning for this story so I'll be marking it as "M" just to be safe! I'll be sure to mark any potential trigger warnings ahead of time as well so you guys can skip over those parts! Anyway, enough of the author's note and onto the actual description!) Mary Carnahan is the only child of Jonathan Carnahan and the niece of Evie. When Jonathan and Evie take Mary to Egypt to visit the ancient city of Hamunaptra along with American Rick O'Connell, as an ancient evil is unleashed, Mary's world is thrown upside down when she learns she's the reincarnate of an Egyptian princess with a tragic past. And as the group races to save the world, they'll soon learn Imhotep isn't the only ancient mummy who has risen. And this second mummy has a shocking connection to Mary's former life.
